What Clients Are Saying About David:

“I am one of those people who absolutely hates the phrase “work-out” due to repeated failures. However, I had gotten to a point where I was becoming disgusted with myself physically. I knew I had to do something about it and do something different from what I had done in the past. There were a few things I knew off the bat: I hate to run, doing suicides makes me want to commit suicide and I have a really short attention span; so anything monotonous was out of the question. Bikes, running, ellipticals, diets- never have worked for me no matter how hard I tried. So, I thought about a personal trainer. Finding the right trainer is really important because your personal trainer is someone who sees you in your worst physical condition: sweaty, stinky and simply put, a wuss. So a personal trainer to me was not only someone that would get me physically in to shape but someone who made me comfortable enough to still give it my best shot even in my worst physical state. In short, I needed a friend who knew what he/she was doing, would kick my butt, push me towards my goals and stay by my side through the entire mess. (Who am I? A princess, right?).

Dave was the trainer who changed my life around. He had me keep a food journal and to my surprise, told me to increase my caloric intake (specifically proteins) before we started hardcore workouts. What got me the most about Dave is that he understood body physiology and kinetics in such a precise and accurate manner that he was able to totally transform my body in less than 3 months, 2 times/week. He understood the way my body functioned and designed workouts that worked magic. He used various strength-training methods via circuits and as each exercise became harder, Dave’s encouragement grew stronger. He never let me quit and he never failed to acknowledge and congratulate me on a successful workout. Dave is not only a trainer, but also a friend who wants to grow with you. He takes pride in making the journey with you and walking you towards your goals. His passion for what he does acts as a huge drive for making you passionate about your workout as well. For those that are self-conscious, Dave will let you be yourself without any embarrassment or hindrance and will make sure you give it your best. I left Orlando about a year ago and I haven’t yet come across a single trainer that gets the meaning of being a ‘personal trainer’ the way he does. Keep doing what you do Dave, it DOES make a difference in peoples’ lives. Cheers to the best trainer out there!”

“I wouldn’t describe Dave as just a personal trainer. He is my biggest cheerleader, a great friend, a bit of a therapist, as well as an exceptionally knowledgeable personal trainer. When I started, my initial fear was physically not being able complete exercises or intimidation by the exercises or trainer. With Dave, I know that he will never make me do something beyond my ability nor does will he ever make me feel incapable. Like I said, Dave is my biggest cheerleader and is always pushing me to finish my sets/workout. Dave’s focus isn’t solely on our time in the gym together. He’s also concerned with what I do outside of our sessions, making sure I eat right and do cardio, so I can achieve maximum results. Dave put together a customized meal plan for me based on my cooking abilities, limited time, and foods that I will actually eat. With the meal plan and Dave’s support outside our session, he helps me set and meet realistic goals. Dave has also been amazing at working around my busy schedule to make sure I meet with him regularly, so I can meet my goals. Dave takes the time to explain each exercise to me in layman’s terms and describes which part of the body it is working. He always has a smile on his face and is full of energy, even at our late night sessions. Training with Dave has been one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself, as I feel physically and mentally healthier. For anyone looking to get in shape, lose weight, or just figure out an exercise routine that works for them, I would recommend Dave without any reservations”.

“No one can tell you that you need to make a change; you have to get to that realization on your own. No matter who gives you good advice it has to be an internal decision to do something about it. I had that happen to me in May 2011 when I fell while bicycle riding. It was a wake-up call that I had been ignoring for years, that I was just out of shape and overweight. A few months after that serendipity brought me to the gym with a discount offer for a package of personal training sessions, and I was introduced to Dave Crump. I didn’t know it at the time but it was a day that changed my life. I had tried to exercise in the past but was not focused on changing my life only my body. I started tracking my diet and other exercise days for Dave to review and we discussed changes along that way that helped me make better choices. I was not eating enough protein and actually not eating enough in general to start to lose weight. I was also not getting enough sleep most of the time. Without Dave to help me focus on every aspect of my life I would not have realized that getting in shape is not just about lifting weights or lunges and squats. Dave taught me that getting in shape is about creating a balance of forces within yourself through diet modifications as well as strength training and interval conditioning that makes your body give back what you put into it.

My internal perception of my body and my body image took much longer to change than my actual body did. It took months for me to start seeing changes that others saw sooner. I starting exchanging fat for muscle right away and though the scale was not reflective of these changes the fit of my clothes was. I had a hard time with not seeing the scale move more quickly because I was working so it hard seemed like it should be showing. Dave’s positive attitude toward reaching my weight loss goals really kept me motivated through our training sessions and gave me encouragement to return week after week until I started seeing the progressive changes that he knew would happen. If not for Dave explaining all the physiological aspects of how training affects the body I would have been ready to quit. He could see the changes I couldn’t see.

Now I have trained with Dave for over a year and his method of strength training and interval conditioning development gradually increased my ability to perform at a much higher level than I would have achieved on my own. He understands my limitations and challenges me to surpass them every week. I will grumble and complain but there is no doubt that if he thinks I can do something, I can do it. I look forward to our sessions each week. Dave has an impressive amount of knowledge which he uses to create a plan for each client to achieve their goals. I have almost reached my goal weight and have lost 68 pounds so far. I have more muscle and more energy than I thought possible. I know I could not have done this without his guidance. He never stops trying to learn and pass on that expertise to his clients through personalized training sessions and group classes. I would recommend him to anyone who is seriously interested in achieving their fitness goals. Even if you’re not sure how to get there, Dave can help you make it happen.”

When I first started working out, my goals were to lose weight, tone my stomach, and tone my legs. I had an idea how to do this, but not enough knowledge to get started or keep it going. Dave told me he can get me going on the right track from the healthier food to the proper exercises. At the beginning of my new fitness journey, I was at 33% body fat. Dave had me write a food journal to make me more aware of what I was eating and how much. This gave me the motivation to eat healthy, especially knowing he was checking it. I always looked forward to my training sessions with Dave because he made it fun, challenging, and pushed me to do things I never thought I could do. I always thought that I had the type of body where it was difficult to gain muscle mass but he has helped me to become stronger and more lean than I ever thought possible. Dave is a very talented, knowledgeable, fun, and energetic trainer. He doesn’t cut any slack but makes you feel amazing and confident walking out of each session. Working with him has opened my eyes, given me new motivation to improve my entire body, and set new goals for myself. I’m now at 25% body fat and showing muscle definition throughout my entire body just after two months. I’m excited to take our training to the next level and see what else I’m capable of. Dave is by far the most amazing trainer and I recommend him to anyone who needs an extra push to reach their fitness goals.”

“After signing up for the Tough Mudder event, I knew that I needed to get in shape. In three months David transformed me from a slouching office drone into a lean, mean mudding machine. His knowledge about both fitness and nutrition were paramount to my success.

Whether you’re looking for weight loss, general fitness, or specific event training: Dave’s the man.”

I joined Bally Total Fitness with the intentions of getting in better shape and maybe training for 5ks. My introductory training session with Dave was cut short due to a drastic spike in my heart rate despite only a few minutes of easy walking. Dave was concerned about the situation and gave possible explanations for the increase; he then recommended I consult with a physician before continuing. A week later, my physician confirmed that what Dave had suggested was completely accurate and recommended that I invest in training sessions with someone that seemed to be very knowledgeable. I immediately began one hour sessions twice a week with Dave.

That investment has benefited me in more ways than I could have anticipated. Not only has my heart rate issue greatly improved, but my balance, strength, and endurance have also improved as well. During the course of each session I am always challenged with the fast pace and difficulty of each task. Dave consistently pushes me out of my comfort zone and motivates me to try new things. The benefit is that I always leave the gym terribly sore, but happy knowing that I have gotten the most out of my workout. He also focuses his attention on my heart rate, form, and technique guaranteeing that I do not get injured. Another benefit is that my training is not limited to the two sessions each week. Dave monitors my food log as well as makes suggestions regarding my workouts throughout the week to ensure that I meet my fitness goals.

In just a few months I have lost over twenty pounds with my body fat percentage decreasing from thirty-three percent to twenty-five percent. However, my most noticeable improvement has been my confidence. I owe this all to the sessions with Dave, and it is for this reason that I highly recommend him as a personal trainer.”

 -Mara Campbell

“The beginning of my weight loss journey started when I decided to be honest with myself. I have been struggling to lose weight for years. So, with some advice from a friend, I joined a gym and worked with a personal trainer. Meeting David Crump changed my perspective of going to a gym and dealing with exercise altogether. I will admit I hesitated signing up for personal training due to financial constraints; however, it was an investment I knew would be worth it, especially where my health was concerned. I was skeptical at first, but after the first month, I realized the hard work was paying off. Having David Crump as a trainer has given me the confidence I thought I would never have. He makes each one hour session fun and challenging. He emphasizes and targets certain muscle groups and I can definitely see the changes. His knowledge of fitness and health is impressive. I also was given nutritional tips when I didn’t know what to have for my meals. Training with David has resulted in losing 50lbs in just 36 sessions. I truly would recommend David Crump as a personal trainer. He is without a doubt, professional, knowledgeable, and committed to helping you achieve the results you hope to reach. I personally would like to say “THANK YOU” David for helping me kick-start my lifetime commitment to a healthier lifestyle.”

-Algin Flores

“Working with David has really changed my view on working out. He has helped me understand how to use my time wisely at the gym. Every exercise he has me do serves a purpose, and every time I go work out with him I know I will benefit. David often goes above and beyond in terms of helping me with my overall health. He taught me to keep a food log and to just be more conscious in general of what I eat. I love knowing that there is someone there who is constantly helping me stay focused and on track with my fitness goal. He is the best trainer and I would recommend him to anyone!!”

-Nayke Popovich

When I joined Bally fitness I received a free personal training session with Dave to help me get an idea of where I was physically. After just 15 minutes I knew that Dave was someone that could help me get to the goals I had set for myself. I had decided that I wanted to get healthy & lose about 40lbs, that was why I signed up for the gym membership, but when it came to working out I was completely out of my comfort zone. I had no idea what a good workout actually looked like. Dave was there to help me through every step of the workout. One of the things that I like best about Dave is that he doesn’t just make you workout, he takes the time to explain the exercise to me, why it is good for my body & what overall benefit I am receiving. Dave has an excellent personality, he always makes sure that you are comfortable with the exercise that you are doing, and is always there to give you that extra push when you don’t think you have the ability to push your body any further. During my time with Dave I have already lost 19Lbs. I really do look forward to my sessions with Dave because I know that I am getting a quality workout and that he cares about helping me succeed in meeting my weight loss goals. With Dave it’s not just about losing weight, it’s about living a healthier lifestyle and maintaining a fitness plan that will lead you in the right direction.”

-Meaghan Jones

“Today we live in a crazy face-paced world that rarely gives us time to treat ourselves healthily. However, training with Dave has given me the opportunity to capture that time while learning multiple functional exercises and pushing myself knowing the overall result will be gained through perseverance and pushing the limits. Dave is extremely focused on his clients’ individual workout potential and is able to have his trainee perform in ways that are self-inspiring and gratifying. Going to a gym should always be an outlet to release stress and to focus on number one, yourself. Spending an hour with Dave certainly has that affect along with learning the “why” to the “how to.””
